Having the wrong putter size can seriously hinder your crazy golf performance, so it is imperative that you select a putter that is the right size for you. Ideally, your putter should be level with your hip, which is comfortable to hold and grip.
When you get to the first tee, it may be tempting to whack your ball at full pelt and see how close you can get it to the hole. However, hitting your ball with too much power is going to cause your ball to overshoot its destination.
The key is to hit the ball gently with enough power to get it to go the distance, which can be a bit of a balancing act. As crazy golf occupies a small area, gentle and precise hits are more beneficial.
In crazy golf, it doesn’t often pay to go first. If you place yourself second, or even third in the lineup, you can watch what your opponents do. If they angle the ball to the left, see if that works, if it doesn’t, make a slight adjustment, how much strength are they putting into their hit?
